Chair Yoga is a practice using a chair for seated poses, and the chair as a balance point for standing poses. Perfect for those who are unable to get up and down off the floor comfortably or anyone who likes a gentle yoga class.

Gentle Yoga  is a practice of melding together breath and movement seated on the floor as well as standing. “Gentle” does not necessarily mean “easy” but is softer on joints and offers modifications for all levels. Because of the slower pace and gentler movement, gentle classes are suggested as a good start for beginners but is a great practice for all levels. 

The word Vinyasa is translated from Sanskrit to mean: “to be placed in a special way”. Often used in its place is the word “flow”. In a Vinyasa practice, one poses flows into the next and the movements are linked to the breath. A moving mediation with some vigor, this class begins with a centering and is a continual movement and linking together of poses and breath and building heat in the body.  This class consists of more standing poses than seated, will get the heart rate up, and involve strength building as well as flexability.  (Vigorous Vinyasa is even more heat building with added movement and flow).

Your teachers provide the space to make this practice as gentle or vigorous as your body needs.

Barre Above is a totally unique approach to barre workouts. Fusing the best of traditional dance training, pilates, yoga, and strengthening exercises, Barre Above delivers a results-driven workout that is not only fun and dynamic but will sculpt your entire body.
 
The program is done barefoot or in barre/yoga socks (grippy soles). Students should bring light to medium hand weights as well as a yoga mat.
