Our teachers at The Om Center share one common goal — to help you feel comfortable, supported, and at home in your practice.
Each teacher brings their own background, training, and personality to class, but all are committed to offering thoughtful guidance, accessible options, and a welcoming environment for every student. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning after years away, you’ll be met with kindness, encouragement, and respect for your individual journey.
We’re honored to share this space with you.

Jackie has been teaching yoga and meditation in Litchfield County for over 20 years and is a 500-hour certified teacher with training in both Kripalu and Kundalini Yoga. One of the original teachers at The Om Center, her love for the practice and the community eventually led her to step into the role of owner. Jackie’s intention is simple: to create a space where everyone feels welcome and supported, whether they are brand new to yoga or returning after time away. In addition to her teaching experience, Jackie holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and brings a thoughtful, encouraging approach to students of all ages. Her background also includes certification as a Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, studies with the Chopra Center, Reiki training, and ongoing work in holistic wellness and Ayurvedic lifestyle practices. Jackie lives in Watertown with her two children and loves time with family, nature walks, reading, and continuing her own study and practice.

Claudette has been part of The Om Center community since it first opened in 2011 and brings more than 24 years of personal yoga practice to her teaching. Inspired early on by teachers Jessica Proulx and Jackie Loyer, her curiosity about yoga grew into a lifelong path that led her to complete her 200-hour teacher training at Lotus Garden Yoga in 2009. Claudette is also certified in Chair Yoga and Restorative Yoga, and her calm, accessible teaching style helps students feel comfortable moving at their own pace. In addition to yoga, she is a certified Reflexologist and Reiki practitioner, bringing a holistic perspective to healing and self-care. Outside the studio, Claudette loves hiking, kayaking, and spending time in nature, where she feels most grounded and inspired, and she welcomes students into class with that same spirit of connection and ease.

Mike discovered yoga in 2012 while looking for relief from back pain and a way to calm his busy mind, and what began as a once-a-week class quickly became a daily practice. Originally from Delaware, Michael moved to Connecticut to earn his Master’s in Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University and now works as a middle school counselor in Wolcott. His interest in the connection between psychology, well-being, and yoga led him to complete his 200-hour teacher training at The Om Center, deepening both his personal practice and his desire to share yoga with others. Michael brings a thoughtful, grounded presence to his classes and values the sense of balance yoga can offer in everyday life. Outside the studio, he enjoys reading, hiking, and brewing his own beer.

She specializes in Prenatal Yoga and Baby & Me Yoga, supporting women and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Tina has led and co-led yoga retreats both locally and internationally and previously served as studio manager at The Om Center before stepping back to focus on raising her two sons — an experience that deepened her appreciation for balance, presence, and the realities of everyday life. Her teaching style is nurturing, supportive, and connection-focused, with the goal of helping students feel seen and empowered. When she’s not teaching, Tina enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Rebecca completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training through The Om Center and later earned her Kundalini Yoga certification, along with extensive Thai Massage training both in the United States and internationally, including advanced studies in Thailand and Greece. Today, she focuses exclusively on Thai Massage and sharing this work through workshops and educational offerings for both students and practitioners. Rebecca also teaches a Monday morning Gentle Flow class that may incorporate breathwork, meditation, dynamic movement, and occasional Thai Massage elements in savasana. Outside the studio, she loves dancing, hiking with her dog Calypso, and creating mosaics for her VW bus.

Sarah is a lifelong yoga practitioner whose teaching blends the energy of Vinyasa with the depth of Yin, creating classes that balance movement, stillness, and connection. She is also a certified Sound Healer and Reiki Practitioner and enjoys thoughtfully weaving these practices into her offerings when appropriate. Sarah’s classes are approachable, supportive, and often include moments of lightness and humor alongside opportunities for inward reflection and calm. Off the mat, she teaches Social Studies to sixth graders in Wolcott and brings that same care and encouragement into her yoga teaching. Sarah loves spending time outdoors hiking, visiting the beach, or relaxing by a bonfire with family and friends, and her goal is always to help students feel comfortable, present, and at ease in their practice.

Sara discovered yoga in 2020 as a way to stay active and find calm during a challenging time, and the practice quickly became an essential part of her life. A wife, mother of three (including twin boys), and longtime corporate technology director for Disney, Sara understands firsthand the need to balance demanding schedules with personal well-being. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Direct Path Institute in 2024 and is currently pursuing her 500-hour certification, along with additional study in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Sara’s classes emphasize the connection between movement, breath, and mindfulness, and she especially enjoys creating music-themed flows and partner practices that build connection and joy. Beyond teaching, she volunteers offering mindfulness and yoga support for individuals facing infertility, NICU families, and corporate professionals seeking balance.
